Each silk scarf is hand-dyed using a cyanotype photographic printing technique, where sunlight and botanicals combine to create stunning, one-of-a-kind patterns in rich blue tones. I lay foraged and pressed plants onto panels of habotai silk, exposing them one at a time. The materials can be unpredictable, making each piece a little experiment.

Care Instructions

Each piece is hand-printed using cyanotype and dyed with foraged and natural pigments from coastal Nova Scotia. Subtle variations and shifts in tone are part of its character.

To preserve the colour and integrity of your silk:

• Hand wash cold with a pH-neutral soap

• Do not soak for extended periods

• Hang or lay flat to dry, away from direct sunlight

• Iron on low while damp, if desired

With time and sun exposure, colours may soften and evolve.
